Dr. Gavins is a Utah native with over 16 years of experience in veterinary medicine and a special passion for canine reproduction. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care while supporting the health and well-being of both pets and their families.
Family is at the heart of Dr. Gavin’s life. She has been married for 24 years and is part of a large, blended family that includes two children, five adult stepchildren, and thirteen grandchildren. At home, she stays busy with two energetic Bengal cats and an Australian Shepherd.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Heather enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and embracing her creative side through cosplay and other nerdy pursuits.

Abi is a veterinary assistant with a background in shelter medicine! She has a strong passion for providing compassionate, attentive support to both patients and their families. At home, she has one dog, a Doberman, Titus, and one cat named Hendrix. When she’s not spending time with cute pets, she loves to rock climb, paint, and longboard.

Ashley brings a lifelong dedication to animal welfare and veterinary medicine. She began her career in shelter work, where she developed a deep commitment to rescue, rehabilitation, and compassionate care for vulnerable animals. She then spent 15 years working as a veterinary assistant, gaining extensive hands-on clinical experience and building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. Over the past 10 years, she has also served in management roles, helping lead teams, strengthen clinic operations, and support high standards of patient care.
Ashley recently stepped into the role of Regional Director for HIPPO Utah Vet Clinics, where she oversees multiple locations and continues to advocate for both exceptional medicine and a positive workplace culture.
Outside of her professional life, Ashley’s passion for animals continues at home. Her house is full of rescues, including a feral cat, a German Shepherd, a Labrador Retriever, a Pug, and an English Bulldog. She has rescued every one of them and would gladly welcome more if given the opportunity. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, painting, spending time with her grandchild, and being outdoors with her family, embracing every chance to connect with nature.

Hannah is a Veterinary Assistant currently pursuing her undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, with plans to attend veterinary school. She is driven by a strong interest in both animal care and science.
In her role, Hannah is committed to providing attentive, compassionate care to patients and their owners. She assists with monitoring vital signs, administering vaccinations, and supporting both routine exams and surgical procedures. She values building connections with clients while helping their pets stay healthy and comfortable.
Her passion for veterinary medicine began early through a lifelong love of animals and curiosity about how they heal and thrive. With guidance from mentors, she continues to expand her knowledge and hands-on experience.
Maya earned her Bachelor’s degree from Utah Valley University in the summer of 2025. She has been working in veterinary medicine for over two years, where she has developed a strong foundation in animal care and a deep appreciation for the human–animal bond. Her professional experience has strengthened both her clinical knowledge and her commitment to compassionate, attentive care for every patient she encounters.
She is a devoted pet owner herself, with one beloved cat and two energetic Morkies who keep her busy outside of work. While Golden Retrievers hold a special place as her favorite breed, she values and cares for all dogs equally, recognizing the unique qualities each one brings. Beyond her work with animals, Maya enjoys spending time outdoors and takes every opportunity she can to be in the sun, embracing activities that allow her to recharge and stay active.

Sam has loved animals for as long as she can remember and earned her veterinary assistant certification in 2023. She is currently pursuing her associate degree in Veterinary Technology through Penn Foster. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband and their rescue pup, Poppy.

Taylor is a Customer Service Representative who enjoys building relationships with clients and getting to know their pets. She graduated from Timpanogos High School in 2020 and brings a strong background in customer service to her role.
With a lifelong love of animals, Taylor enjoys being part of a team that provides high-quality care to each patient. She plays an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive experience for both pets and their owners.
Taylor takes extra care to comfort patients during visits, helping them feel safe and at ease. She enjoys learning each pet’s personality and contributing to a positive clinic experience.
Outside of work, Taylor enjoys creating art, spending time in nature, and reading. She has two cats, Zeke and Tina, and a Bichon Frisé named Millie.

Katya is a dedicated Veterinary Assistant with a strong passion for patient care and surgical medicine. She earned her Associate of Arts degree in STEM with a focus in Veterinary Science from Pierce College in 2018 after graduating from Agoura High School in California.
Her journey into veterinary medicine began through her community and the veterinarians who cared for her own pets. She was especially inspired by observing surgeries across multiple species and seeing patients recover and return home healthy.
At the clinic, Katya enjoys supporting as many patients as possible while working alongside a collaborative team. She has a particular interest in surgery and anesthesia and takes pride in playing an active role in patient care during procedures.
Outside of work, Katya stays active through tennis and horseback riding. She also enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors with her dogs.
